- STEP 1: Extract TWGLD???.ARJ to a working directory of your choice.
-
- STEP 1a: If you have registered, copy the file "TWGOLD.KEY" to your working
- directory.
-
- STEP 2: Ensure the environment variable "TEMP" is set to a valid temporary
- directory. Ideally this will be a RAM Drive, for when online the
- temporary file is quite active.
-
- STEP 3: Create a parent directory. TWGOLD! requires a parent directory be
- defined in which either your data files or subdirectories containing
- your data files will be stored. TWGOLD! then requires that you select
- a game directory to make active. If you play in only one game, set the
- game directory to the parent directory. If you play in more than one
- game you will be given the opportunity to create game directories. You
- must then specify a game directory to make active.
-
- WARNING! If you play in more than one game, it is your responsibility
- ensure the current game directory corresponds to the game you are
- playing. You should set it (Alt-G) prior to starting a Tradewars
- game session, and not change it until you have exited Tradewars.
-
- STEP 4: Execute "TWGOLD.EXE". Once you have reached the main program, examine
- the configuration in [F]ile-[S]etup. Make necessary changes and then
- save the configuration file.
-
- STEP 5: Your database(s) will initially be empty. If you have previous game
- sessions in capture files, they can be read with [F]ile-[R]ead Capture.
- Read them in the order they were played. Use [F]ile-[W]rite to save the
- information and create your data files.
-
- If you do not have any capture files, you must go online to begin
- building your database.
-
- ENJOY!
